Leading with Care

If leaders are brave enough to be vulnerable, they can create bridges across cultural and ideological divides by transforming shared vulnerabilities from sources of isolating fear to unifying power. There is very little in our modern life of hurried protected isolation that can be more satisfying than the all-too-rare experience of finding comfort and strength in our common vulnerabilities. We often forget the feeling of hope and possibility that comes when we find an innovative way to solidify relationships that extend beyond narrow ties.
